Important Information for the Cesme Chios Crossing

  • A passport is required and must be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date.
  • You can apply for a Chios visa on arrival. Documents must reach our Cesme branch at least 10 days before departure.
  • Check-in closes 1 hour before departure. Arriving earlier is recommended in peak season.
  • Passengers must be on board 15 minutes before departure.
  • There is no daily quota for the visa on arrival; you may apply for any date.
  • Ideal for shopping for mastic products (mastiha, soap, liqueur); a day trip is easily done.
  • If you plan to travel with a pet, please notify the operator in advance.
  • Separate tickets are required for children and infants.

General Ferry Ticket Rules

1Passengers must be at the check-in desk 1 hour before departure.
2Passengers must be on board 15 minutes before departure.
3Tickets are personal and cannot be transferred or resold.
4The date, route and time cannot be changed.
5A ticket may be converted to an open ticket once, with at least 2 days' notice.
6Open tickets must be used within 6 months; otherwise they are cancelled automatically.
7Cancelled or rescheduled crossings are notified to the registered contact number.
8Tickets are checked by barcode at boarding.
